Hopes And DreamsDo Come TrueI suppose this is the part where I talk about who I am exactly - to make you want to speak to me, maybe even become a friend of mine. Well to put it simply, you'll either like me or you won't.I'm not a freak - I'm uniqueBasically I'm a nice person but like anyone, I do have my flaws. Sometimes I believe they are really bad flaws, but then when you realise early on what they are you kinda get worried about them constantly! One of my flaws is always trying to be 'perfect' or by doing something 'perfectly. If there is ever such a thing. I like to make my websites look nice, and do get wound up if they won't go right (pretty much all the time). I'm currently trying to learn to make my own - from scratch but I'm not getting very far and this is pissing me right off.I make blinkies for people - even had my own site once but I moved and then got bogged down by too many requests so I stopped - but feel free to ask me to make you one and I shall - I have more time to do that kinda stuff now-a-days.I come from a town called Gillingham which is in Kent - it's a bit of a shit hole but then you wouldn't think that if you only visited for a few days. For the first few days when I lived here I thought "Great, lovely!" then I realised - same shit different place. Some people say that Kent is the "Garden of England" well I can tell you something now - I can count about 40 flowers in our end 'cos the bastards keep digging it up to build more houses. I live in a two bedroom house with my boyfriend, my German shepherd - Tyler (pictured above), and my two rats - Karl and Pete. I like decorating and am always found with a tin of paint hiding somewhere - talking about that I must get on with my living room at some point - blue and orange I think - doesn't sound nice but if you saw my sofa you'd know why!!I'm a good laugh when I'm with my friends - although my humour seems to be more dark based, most of my jokes relate to death of some kind. But I'm not a weirdo - I just find death funny. One of those things I guess, most people are scared of it but I'm not - when my time comes it comes. Nothing I or anyone else can do about it, so get over it. Only two things in this World are certain after your born: Tax & Death. We all know it's coming so there you have it.I'm a great believer in fate. Everything happens for a reason which some say throws 'free will' out of the window but who cares? We don't have much free will anyway if you think about it. There's always some law to stop you doing this that and the other. Fuck em. Fuck authority - bastards - what gives them the right if we're supposed to have free will? Bollocks is what it all is, complete bollocks.Adam and I have been together for over two years (almost three - that's scary). We've had our ups and downs and hopefully we're working through that now. I do love him to bits and hope that we can work it out - maybe we will, who knows? I think he's a great guy when he wants to be but can also be a complete *beep*. Which is why we fall out a lot of the time. Looking at it though, he's started doing things around the house and also started to get up early and not spending the most of the day in bed *makes me proud* I do love him and just want him to know that I do.This world is full of so many ranges of shapes and sizes - and all different manner of causes brought about these shapes and sizes. Some are short and round, others short and tiny, some tall and broad and some tall and skinny. Some have small upper bodies and large hips and legs, others have tiny hips and legs, and are large from the waist up. All sorts of faces have various shaped noses, eyes, and lips, surrounded by various freckles, beauty marks, blemishes, lines, and blushing cheeks. Every human on this earth is unique, and yet we attempt to set a standard of beauty. A standard that does not universally fit the eye of the beholder, or the object of study. It is completely unfair that the media focuses on thinner, thinner, thinner. I don't care that I am not a fashion model. It means naught to me. However I do feel its unfair that my child will be subjected to these images and brought to believe because of them that they are unacceptable if they are larger than a size 6. And that is a liberal size, too. I feel it is unfair that thousands upon thousands of people (men and women alike) have eating disorders stemming from the barrage of perfect bodies they see everyday, and do not reflect. It is unfair that I can be in line at an establishment of any type, and whoever ahead of me is of an "accepted" size, receiving eye contact and smiles from the cashier, where as I am not even granted a momentary eye contact while being rung up. Sometimes, they barely even speak. No one deserves to be treated poorly by employees, customers or peers simply based on their appearance. I do not expect anyone to find an attraction to someone they find unattractive. I do however expect for myself and everyone like me to be treated with respect and as if we have feelings. Believe me, we do. Please reconsider your actions towards everyone. We do not expect you to find us attractive. Please do not expect us to fit your ideal.
