It took approximately 7 hours to drive north from Anchorage to Fairbanks on the Parks Highway. I spent the night in Anchorage then proceeded 60 miles Northeast to Chena Hot Springs where I spent two days (I'm not really good about taking pictures; all the pictures are from this place).
Total milage traveled was approximately 1120, 1090 of which had an average fuel consumption of 24.9 miles per gallon of gasoline.
Average speed was 65 miles per hour.
On the way back home I passed about a hundred motorcycles heading North to a big rally in Fairbanks this weekend.
